Overview

Over the course of 2021, Pinterest Business Marketing and Stink Studios collaborated to bring strategic creative campaigns to life. A co-authored communication framework set the overarching narrative across touchpoints in global markets spanning North America, LATAM, and Europe.


Production Process

The production process hinged on annual planning ahead of the calendar year, leaning in to brand priorities, planned product feature launches, market-specific initiatives, as well as a healthy understanding of / contingency for the inevitable unknowns ahead.

The key to making the above work relied on strong partnership and collaboration between both Stink and Pinterest Business Production leads, as well as the strong partnership and collaboration between Stink and Pinterest Business Creative leads. As Pinterest Business had its own robust Creative team, it was important to prioritize both group and individual forums for each bespoke partnership to thrive and support one another.

Performance was assessed on a quarterly basis, as new information was made available and as the previous quarter’s output and findings were realized. Each quarter, Stink and Pinterest Business leadership teams met to openly discuss our successes, opportunities for improvement, burgeoning information about brand priorities, and the resulting pivots or changes that we intended to accommodate for the forthcoming quarters.

Results

Over the course of the calendar year, the collaboration resulted in original content production, digital ads, organic & paid social content, and print design supporting North America, LATAM, and Europe.

Be their next was a global social campaign inviting advertisers to tap into the unique audience mindset of the Pinterest user. Creative and Research worked closely to align campaigns to real-time search trends in global markets.



The Perfect Couch – our tentpole campaign film directed by Mary Dauterman and photographed by Savanna Ruedy  tells a story of shopping in a dreamscape where shoppers can find things they actually love through the visual discovery engine that only Pinterest provides.
